About Your Pen:
Your handmade cat pen will capture this special relationship through the pen's fine details; The pen end features an end cap with a sleeping cat sculpted into a weaved basket with the kittys full, curved tail playfully falling out to act as the sturdy pen clip. The center band is wrapped with silhouettes of cat caricatures in different spirted positions and decorated with rope trim. The pen tip is engraved with a playful pattern of cat paw prints with rope trim.
Each pen is hand made to order in Dublin, Ohio. Wood options are Cherry, Western Red Cedar, Curly Maple, Mahogany or Hickory, all which are sourced from a sawmill in the heart of Ohio's Amish Country. In addition, we offer a 200 year Barnwood from recycled beams that came from a building we took down on our farm. Exotic wood options, which are sourced from Central and South America, are Purple Heart, Bloodwood, Redheart, Zebrawood, Dark Cocobolo and Light Cocobolo.
The colors of the wood shown are all their natural color (except for the color dyed maples) coated with a polyurethane finish to both protect and enhance the natural beauty of the wood! This finish will also keep its shine for years to come! Most polishes used by wood turners are a simple polished wax, which will wear away in a short period of time, leaving the wood dull with no protective finish.
The window boxes are made from cardboard, with a rubber loop under the ribbon to keep the pen in place, making the pen easier to wrap while offering a great display of the item.
