This new Bird pen will make an eagerly awaited and inspiring gift for any bird lover, whether they appreciate birds on an evening walk, at a backyard feeder or whether they are traveling far and wide on dedicated birding trips. Our playfully designed yet distinctively detailed Bird pen captures this enthusiasm and interest. On the pen end cap, three small eggs are set inside an intricately casted birds nest. The back end barrel features a captivating scene with branches and birds, beautifully filigreed in intricate detail. The pen clip is a flock of birds in flight gracefully flying towards the nest on top.
Each pen is hand made to order in Dublin, Ohio. Wood options are Cherry, Western Red Cedar, Curly Maple, Mahogany or Hickory, all which are sourced from a sawmill in the heart of Ohio's Amish Country. In addition, we offer a 200 year Barnwood from recycled beams that came from a building we took down on our farm. Exotic wood options, which are sourced from Central and South America, are Purple Heart, Bloodwood, Redheart, Zebrawood, Dark Cocobolo and Light Cocobolo.
The colors of the wood shown are all their natural color, coated with a polyurethane finish to both protect and enhance the natural beauty of the wood! This finish will also keep its shine for years to come! Most polishes used by wood turners are a simple polished wax, which will wear away in a short period of time, leaving the wood dull with no protective finish.
The window boxes are made from cardboard, with a rubber loop under the ribbon to keep the pen in place, making the pen easier to wrap while offering a great display of the item.
